Welcome to my fundraising page!

Thanks so much for paying a visit to my fundraising page!  I am thrilled to be running the NYC Marathon on Nov 4th as a member of the Oxfam team!  When I decided to run the marathon as a charity runner, I was really excited to see that Oxfam was pulling together a team because I know that they are an organization that shares my commitment to working to end global poverty and injustice.

As most who know me are well aware, I love running and I love the idea of using running to help other people.  Oxfam is an international relief and development organization dedicated to creating lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and injustice.  Every day 1 in 7 people go hungry, and it's not because there isn't enough food to go around. It's because of deep imbalances in access to resources like fertile land and clean water. Oxfam is working to change this, and one thing that I've always really appreciated about Oxfam is their commitment to partnering with individual communities to find solutions to their problems. They understand that communities often have a clearer idea of what could help them overcome their problems but lack the resources to make it happen, and they empower communities to take ownership of their problems and create solutions that last.

I hope that you'll join me in the fight to end global poverty and injustice by clicking the 'Donate Now' button above and making a donation.  The process is fast, easy, and secure.  No donation is too small and every donation is much appreciated.

Thank you for making a difference.  Your gifts will change lives and serve as a major encouragement to me as I train for and run the NYC Marathon on November 4th.
